Emergency Services

Big Bear Airport is committed to serving the Big Bear Valley community by incorporating the emergency needs of our residents into strategic and daily business decisions.  We have demonstrated this commitment by increasing our fuel storage capacity as a contingency for emergencies and by converting the airport into a temporary firebase to assist wildland firefighters.  We recently collaborated with Air Methods, Big Bear Fire Department, and the Bear Valley Community Hospital in a partnership to make Big Bear Airport a helicopter base for air ambulance services.  We will continue to look for opportunities to provide emergency services and value to our community.
